Magnets!

Latest craft push: magnets.

I need lots of magnets for my job, so I decided to try them myself. Super easy, super fun. I just went to Michael's and got 1" magnets and flat marbles/gems, like you'd use for flower arrangements. I also got quick-grip all purpose glue.

I tried a couple different things to go under the marble. With all of them, I glued the picture/cardstock to the marble, then the marble to the magnet. (I used cardstock as the background for stickers and for photos to make it sturdier.

Stickers worked best, as seen in the picture above. Photos worked ok, but I had issues with glue bubbles. I'd try pictures again, but next time using a clamp.


The worst was anything with glitter...glitter paper or glitter stickers. The glitter just didn't show well through the glass, and if I moved the backing at all the glitter released from the backing and spread throughout the glass.

All in all, a fun project that I'll keep coming back to!
